Dear Diver. December 16, 2021
I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend! As in the past, mine was great! For me, Thanksgiving is the best day of the year. I sleep late and no one asks me to do anything but show up! Not to mention the joy of seeing family and friends!
We’re just back from another incredible trip to Cozumel and Playa del Carmen! Once again, another great group, wonderful weather and fantastic dives! Super drift dives, Cenotes (caverns) and a dive with Bull sharks topped the week. We’ll do it again next December!
For whatever reason, I had no takers for our planned Bonaire trip January 8-15, 2022. This is a huge surprise, as Bonaire is one of the best places to spend a week in the middle of winter. I brelieve we can still get hotel/air space, so if anyone’s interested, please let me know ASAP!
A room just opened up on our February trip to Cayman Brac February 12-19. Anyone interested, again, please let me know immediately!
Roatan trip March 12-19 is now full, however, I’m on a waitlist for any hotel cancellations. If interested in getting away in March, this is a great trip to go on!
I’m still working on details for a planned trip to the Florida Keys March 31-April 1. I’m taking reservations now. It will be a long weekend, Thursday to Monday. A great quick get-a-way.
I want to alert you to the fact that our fall and winter hours are now in effect: Tues-Friday, 11am-6pm, Saturday..9am-5pm. Sundays & Mondays we’re closed until April. Also, we will be closed the weeks we are away on our dive trips.
Below you’ll see a list of our upcoming trips this winter and early spring. Some have very limited space or are already full. Take special note of our new trip to the Maldives next November! We’re now just about half full! For more trip info: www.orbitmarine.com/trips.html.
We will continue to offer our Basic Open Water classes throughout the year. So, if you or anyone you know wants to learn to dive, our next Basic Open Water classes are Jan. 22, Feb 5 & 26. Please check our full schedule at: www.orbitmarine.com/classes.html. We will also be offering, on demand, Nitrox diver and Emergency First Response classes over the winter,
If you’re planning on buying a gift of diving or wanting a gift of diving for the holidays, please go to: www.orbitmarine.com/wishlist.html.
Here you’ll find a listing of all major items divers use and need to enjoy our sport. You can even use the list to help you pack for your next trip!
You’ve heard it time and time again about supply shortages, low or no inventory, etc. We’re not immune to this issue and much of what we normally sell is back ordered. I’m doing my best to keep ahead of it, but still, we’re out of stock of many items. It’s true that if you’re looking to buy gifts or something for yourself, the time to shop is NOW. Most everything in our sport is manufactured or have parts manufactured overseas. No guarantees we’ll have what you need, but we’ll do our best.
Please stay safe and enjoy the Holiday season! Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

If you’re not a “Friend” on my FB page (Noel Voroba, Orbit Dive Center or Orbit Marine Sports) you haven’t seen the pictures/videos I’ve been posting from past trips and local charters. Hopefully they’ll inspire you to sign on to one of our future trips listed below. Also, if you enjoyed our local diving or had a positive experience dealing with us, please say so on Google or Yelp. Since social media is so important these days, every little bit of positive feedback helps us survive. If you didn’t have a good experience with us, I’d like to hear about it!
