PADI EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE COURSE
2008 SEASON COURSE DATES
July
22 & 24, 2008
Have you ever wondered what you would do in an
emergency? You've come across the scene of an accident, someone is
injured, upset, and in shock. What would you do?
Designed for both divers and non-divers, the PADI EMERGENCY FIRST
RESPONSE (EFR) program will teach the participant first hand how to
deal with common medical emergencies. The techniques shown are geared
to the layperson, not the medical professional. Skills learned will
include basic first aid, CPR, patient care, treatment, transport, etc.
An introduction to the use of the Automated External Defibrillator
(AED) will also be included. The participant will act as both the
rescuer and coach in many of the emergency scenarios.
The course will meet either on one weekend day
or for two nights and
includes an EFR text book and certification card. Since this
course is also designed for the non-diver, no dives are required to
complete the certification.
For those of you wishing to move up the
training ladder, this course is a prerequisite for the PADI Dive
Rescue, Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and Instructor programs. It
is also a prerequisite for being a better emergency trained citizen!
Space is limited to twelve participants. FIRST
COME, FIRST SERVED. If you would like to attend, please fill out the
