SCUBA DIVING!
Captain Noel keeps Orbit on the leading edge of diving technology. As Fairfield County's largest and oldest dive shop, Orbit evaluates, stocks, sells and maintains a very wide variety of equipment, which allows divers to see and try more than one or two styles of equipment. Orbit has the experience and skills to maintain the equipment that they sell. This means that the equipment you buy will work properly when you need it. If you need to rent equipment, Orbit can rent you anything from fins and weights, all the way to dive computers. For the local diver, air and nitrox fills are available. All summer long, Orbit runs local dive trips to locations in the sound.
Orbit has trained more new divers, equipped them, maintained their equipment, and lead more dive trips, to local, and to international dive sites, than any dive shop in Fairfield County.
FISHING BAIT & TACKLE!
Orbit Marine also offers a full array of fishing bait and tackle. Open 7 days a week, mid April through October, Orbit caters to the needs of both fresh and salt water fisherman. Always in stock are common local fishing bait and tackle. Along with a large parking lot for ease of parking, Orbit has it all if fishing is your game!
METAL DETECTING!
New to Orbit Marine's diving and fishing departments is metal detecting! We carry both above and below water detectors from companies such as Minelab, Treasure Products and J.W. Fishers. I went to get fishing gear. Noel was very helpful and gave me a few instructions on casting. Even though I was a complete novice and didn’t know how much gear I needed, Noel didn’t try to oversell me on anything. He set me up with the basics to get me started in fishing. His associate was very helpful and told me about several fishing spots in the area. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs diving and fishing gear, and bait and tackle.

Went here in preparation for a trip. Bought two kids masks, they weren’t cheap but they threw in a 10 percent discount and all tolled it wasn’t too bad.
The guy working was the son of the owner and was very helpful and dealt with everyone in the shop in a very efficient and helpful manner. Overall definitely will return and would recommend it to others.
